R3D night sights include traditional 3-point tritium capsules, U-shaped notch and post, sight. The tritium front sight features a patented photoluminescent orange or green Glow Dot that absorbs ambient light and glows in low light. The rear 2-dot tritium is illuminated, ensuring correct alignment of the sight without shadowing the front sight for accurate aiming. This design helps the shooter with targeting the front sight by using a brighter tritium capsule on the front sight and using a tritium light to slightly "charge" the Glow Dot. This slight difference causes the front sight to shine brighter than the two tritium capsules at the rear sight.
