The Daystate Wolverine air rifle was first introduced in 2012 in 7.62mm caliber and later also in more common 4.5mm, 5.5mm and 6.35mm calibers. In 2017, the Wolverine2 B and Wolverine2 C models were presented at the Shot Show in Las Vegas. In 2018, Daystate presented the updated Wolverine R model, which is also equipped with a regulator from the well-known manufacturer Huma.
Other improvements to the Wolverine R include the use of a Pulsar valve that optimizes airflow for more shots. Furthermore, the original bolt was replaced with a completely new one from the Pulsar model, including the reloading lever. Reloading the air rifle is done using a side lever - Side Lever Action. The reloading lever can easily be converted to the other side, so the air gun can easily be converted for left-handed use.
The Wolverine R model is slightly shorter than the Wolverine model and the center of gravity of the air gun has moved slightly to the rear, making the air gun more balanced. The adjustable buttpad is also from the Pulsar model. The air gun is also equipped with a Huma regulator and two manometers. One shows the cartridge pressure and the other the regulator pressure.
Of course, the latest type of Lothar Walther selective barrel, which Daystate used for the first time on the Pulsar and Renegade models. The barrel is 43 cm long and is of the "shrouded" type, i.e. the barrel itself is wrapped in an outer jacket that serves as a noise moderator. The barrel is finished with a 1/2 UNF male thread for mounting an additional moderator. Tony Belas from Daystate jokingly said during the air gun presentation that the price of the Lothar Walther barrel used in Daystate air guns is higher than the price of the entire air gun from Eastern manufacturers :-)
The Daystate Wolverine R HiLite 5.5mm air rifle has a TH design laminate stock with a thumb grip. The Kevlar cartridge with a volume of 480 cm3 is filled using the Quickfill connector, which is included in the package. The cartridge is filled to a pressure of 230 BAR, and one filling is enough for approx. 450 shots in 4.5mm caliber and approx. 500 shots in 5.5mm caliber. The length of the air rifle is 96.5 cm and the weight is 3.5 kg.
Mounting rail 11mm for mounting a rifle scope, magazine, manual safety, etc.
Thanks to the Huma regulator, which ensures the consistency of individual shots, and the Lothar Walther selective barrel, the air rifle is perfectly accurate. Daystate, which is the inventor of PCP air guns and a pioneer of this technology for over 40 years, has once again turned its back on all other manufacturers.
We recommend scopes for Daystate air rifles Optisan, Discovery or Sightron, assembly BKL and, of course, pellets as ammunition JSB Match Devil.
