MTC SWAT Prismatic 12×50 SCB2 Riflescope
The MTC SWAT Prismatic 12×50 is a prismatic riflescope with fixed 12× magnification, combining high magnification with a very compact design and a wide field of view.
The SWAT – Super Wide-Angle Technology uses short eye relief and a prismatic lens arrangement. According to the manufacturer, this allows the scope to provide approximately three times wider field of view than a conventional riflescope with the same objective lens size. The field of view is 10 metres at 100 metres.
SCB2 Reticle
The model is equipped with the original etched MTC SCB2 – Small Calibre Ballistic reticle.
The SCB2 provides a large number of reference points for elevation and windage correction and uses a floating central crosshair, helping to keep the centre of the target clearly visible. The reticle is designed especially for precision shooting at small targets and situations where bullet drop compensation is required.
The reticle is illuminated, with 10 brightness levels specified by the manufacturer, allowing it to be adapted to different lighting conditions.
Fixed 12× Magnification
The fixed 12× magnification provides a high level of detail without the need to adjust zoom. Combined with the wide field of view, the riflescope is well suited to precision airgun shooting, HFT, FT, or benchrest disciplines.
The prismatic design also allows the scope to remain just 156 mm long, which is considerably shorter than conventional riflescopes with similar magnification.
Parallax from 6 Metres
The side parallax adjustment can be set from 6 metres to infinity.
This very short minimum focusing distance is especially useful for PCP air rifles and other platforms commonly used at short shooting distances.
0.1 MRAD Adjustments
The elevation and windage turrets use the MRAD system.
1 click = 1 cm at 100 m = 0.1 MRAD
One full turret revolution consists of 42 clicks and provides 4.2 MRAD of adjustment. The maximum adjustment range is 17.45 MRAD.
Optics and Construction
The riflescope uses a 50 mm objective lens with multi-coated lenses. The manufacturer highlights good light transmission and suitability for use in lower-light conditions. The body diameter is 42 mm.

Adjustable Mount
The riflescope comes with a special MOA-adjustable mount, which allows the angle of the scope to be adjusted before using the internal elevation turret.
MTC uses this system to achieve better mechanical centring of the optic and to preserve more of the internal turret adjustment range for actual shooting corrections.
