When used with the Tipton Best Gun Vise, the insert simply slides into the aluminum rails of the vise and locks in place. The screws included in the package can be used for possible attachment to the work table top. The insert simply slides into the magazine well and provides a solid base for cleaning the weapon and performing maintenance or light rifle work on your LR-308, or any LR (Light Rifle) style rifle with an SR25 style magazine.
