Kevlar (or also carbon or composite) pressure bottle with a volume of 6.8L 300bar with a monovalve. Kevlar bottles are 60% lighter compared to steel bottles. The weight of the 6.8L bottle is only 3.9 Kg! A steel bottle of the same volume weighs 10Kg. The outer diameter of the bottle is 157mm, the height of the bottle is 530mm. The bottom of the bottle is convex (round). The filling pressure of the bottle is 300BAR, the test pressure is 450BAR. The thread in the bottle for mounting the valve is M18x1.5. The monovalve thread is standard DIN G5/8".
The Kevlar bottle is made of modern materials. The inside of the bottle consists of a seamless aluminum insert, which is coated with a carbon fiber wrap in an epoxy binder. This outer fiberglass layer is used to increase the pressure cylinder's resistance to impact and abrasion during service. After the high-temperature treatment of the epoxy binder, an outer gel coat is applied to the surface of the cylinder, resulting in a smooth and easy-to-clean surface of the cylinder. The surface finish of the bottle is Kevlar fiber and clear lacquer.
