As soon as the Daystate took the ailing English Brocock producer under its wings, it began to share all its technology with it, thus raising Brocock to the top, saving it and giving us models like Compatto, Bantam, Commander and Patagonia, without which the world would be poorer.
The tactical Brocock Compatto Sniper XR air rifle, with its black design and bullpup-type polymer stock, also benefits from the mutual cooperation of both producers (Daystate and Brocock). Thanks to this cooperation, the air rifle is equipped with the patented “Slingshot Hammer” system (an analogue of Harper’s valve used with the Daystate air rifles), which ensures better air dosage and lower consumption. This system, along with the Dutch Huma-produced pressure regulator, improves the shot consistency, thus putting this air rifle far ahead of its competitors in terms of accuracy.
The rifle has a Lothar Walther barrel 432 mm long. It is a “shrouded” type barrel, meaning the barrel itself is covered with an outer layer, serving as a sound moderator. The barrel is finished with ½ UNF male thread, allowing for further moderator mounting.
The trigger is adjustable, with the safety being placed at the front. The rifle can be reloaded using the side lever action. We see this as the better solution than with the previous Compatto Sniper HR model version, where reloading was done with the straight-pull bolt action. The mounting rail for riflescope or collimator sight is 11mm long; the Weaver mounting rail, enabling further mounting of accessories, is placed at the front part of the stock under the cartridge.
The synthetic stock (bullpup type) ensures both the lower weight of the rifle – merely 3.2 kg – and compact proportions, with overall length of 86 cm. The stock has an adjustable rubber butt plate. Thanks to the Huma regulator and the “slingshot Hammer” system, which guarantees the precise air dosage, and to the choice Luther Walther barrel, this air rifle is perfectly precise and without equal in its price range.
For Brocock air rifles, we recommend Optisan, Discovery or Sightron riflescopes, BKL mountings, and naturally the H&N Sport pellets for ammo.
