26-year-old Jordan Elliot was arrested Thursday night leading law enforcement officers in a car chase in a stolen car, crashing into police car, and attacking a man who attempted to detain him — only to be held at gunpoint by the man’s wife.
Michael Stephens had been listening to the events on his police scanner and knew Elliot was in his neighborhood. He spotted Elliot outside his home with a flashlight he tried to detain him. The suspect Elliot wrested the flashlight from Stephens, hitting him in the head and face several times.
Stephens’ wife, Amy, came to her husband’s defense — with a hunting rifle. She held Elliot at gunpoint until police arrived.
